Just Another Day

It's now 17 days in Gold Canyon.  The weather is pretty boring.  Full sun, cool mornings and evenings and warm afternoons.  We will be getting close to and just over 90  in the coming days.  The long range forecast is for some cooler (70's) weather.  More normal for this time of the year.  Lost of wildflowers are blooming in the desert right now.  Yellows, orange and a few blue hues showing.  The cactus are showing a few flowers too.  reds and whites mostly.  I'll have to get a few pictures.

We are kind of settling in here and not filling our days up as much.  We did go north the other day looking for the wild horses that are up there.  Didn't see them.
Just to see what it's like we went to a Sun City Community to see what they are like. (google it if your not familiar with it)  We were impressed.  They do a great job catering to the "active 55+" crowd.  The community we saw was top notch.

We are doing less hiking right now and going to the gym here for our exercise.  It's a pretty nice facility.  Mostly Cybex equipment and some nice cardio machines.

Not much else to talk about.  So I'll add a picture.  This is a white-tailed deer.  It was in tall grass.  I kind of like the effect of the grass in front of the deer.  I think it makes some interesting patterns.
The whitetails out here seem quite a bit smaller than whitetail deer in Michigan or PA.
