Larco Museum

After visiting the fish market we were off to the Larco Museum.  This fabulous private museum provided us a look at the art work of the pre-columbian  peoples of Peru.  When you look at these examples of the ancient peoples of the americas remember that many of the works were completed in 100bc or more.
The cultures that predated the Incas develop pottery and metal working skills that are remarkable.  I was blown away at the fine detail and colors in the pottery.  The shapes and proportions are identical to what is considered standards today.

The art is displayed in an 18th century estate.

The first group of images are of the museum grounds.  The actual art work images will follow.

A Family Restroom, if it had been a mens room only the statue on the left would be on the wall.
