Casa Grande AZ
We are currently in Casa Grande AZ. Casa Grande is between Tucson and the Phoenix area along Interstate 10.
Thanks to Sue Schorfhaar, we found out about the big Gourd Festival. So off we went. Wow, the creativity and craftsmanship blew us away. Had a great lunch there to boot. One picture below.
True story, sad but true.
The other picture is the under-bed storage area in our 5th wheel. In this area ( empty for the picture) we store a lot of different stuff, including the hose and attachments for the central vacuum.
When we returned from our South American trip we unpacked our suitcases and the bottom compartments had shoes in them. So of course there was sand and dirt in that compartment. So Tom vacuumed the grit out. Then a day or so later Tom vacuumed out a storage area.
Then we hit the road a few days later and one day Gloria decides she needs to vacuum the rv. She can't find the extension and the floor attachment. It's not under the bed, so she wants to know what I did with it? What did I do with it? Nothing, I din't use those attachments. The rv is not real big and there is not a lot of places for something like that to hide....,so " I " lost or trashed the parts.
Today while Gloria was out shopping I decided to vacuum out the floor ducts for the heat. I lifted the bed to get the vacuum hose....it wasn't there. My first thought and I said out loud " that little B____ is screwing with me". " She must have hidden the hose". ( I could say this out loud because she wasn't here) I looked everywhere to no avail. So I caved in and called her. Gloria said it's under the bed, where it always is. I replied that no it most definitely is not there. It's too big for me to miss seeing it. What the hell is going on here, your not screwing around with me? No was there reply and I could tell she was not enjoying the conversation. I had an idea and said I would get back to her in a few minutes.
I discovered that the false bottom for the storage area was no longer firmly attached to the bed frame. The bed is part of a slide out room and when we travel the slides are retracted and the false bottom could move, opening up a gap for items to fall through. When I pushed the false bottom away, there under it was the extension tube, the floor attachment and the hose.
What a relief. I thought we were losing it. A quick repair by Tom there handyman and we were good to go. As my friend Red Green always said...." If the women don't find you good looking they best find you handy". :)
