Mondays Update
Sunday we went into Skaneateles. In Cheboygan we are members of Saint James Episcopal Church. The Episcopal Church in Skaneateles is also St. James. We went to the 10:30 am service which was listed as the "contemporary service. The service had a 5 piece band, so the music was very different than the usual service music. It was pretty neat.
After church we stopped in a coffee shop and then I wandered into a photo gallery and spent close to an hour talking photography with the owner/photographer.
After some shopping we meet up with some friends who live nearby and had a long lunch and catching up.
I have to say that the people in this area are exceptionally friendly and out going, and that was pretty much the case in the Adirondacks as well. We felt very welcome here.
On the way back to the campground we stopped in the Wegmans Super Market to restock the pantry.
Monday broke cold and rainy, it cleared up a little by lunch time so we went back to the Montezuma Wetland Complex and hiked a few trails we had missed on our two previous visits.
Today is moving day, we head for the southern end of the lakes and will be in Watkins Glen for a base camp.
Wild Grapes along the trail.
