Life Bird
When birders, like Gloria, see a bird that they have never seen before..it's a "life bird" and they get to check it off their list. Just as in past years she has had several life birds on our southwest trips.
Yesterday we started a hike on the trail here in Lake Havasu State Park and we hadn't gone 50 yards when Gloria spotted this little bird in the brush.
We are pretty sure it's a Black-tailed Gnatcatcher. Either a female or a non breeding male. Of course Gloria does her birding with her photographer...to document her finds and confirm her identifications.
