Friday

I will just skip the last few days and get right to today.  Well I will mention that yesterday we rode a few miles on the bike trail to a point where the Rodeo Parade would be making it's first turn.  This is a very big deal in this town.  Schools are closed Thursday and Friday during Rodeo Week.  It is the largest non-motorized parade in the country.  Everyone either walks, rides a horse or is in a horse drawn wagon.  It was long, we watched about half of it I suppose.  Two sections of major streets were closed as was the bike trail in that area, from 8am until about noon.

Today we went to the Aqua Calienta Park.  It is in the Northeastern corner of Tucson.  Pretty interesting little spot.  It was a former ranch.

Pictures are below.  Bewick's Wren, Vermilion Flycatcher, Ring-necked Duck, Mallard Duck, and a mule deer buck.  I have been trying to get a good picture of a Vermilion Flycatcher for 2 years.  I am happy with todays results.  I had a very co-operative little guy in front of my lens twice today.

I think he is saying " really now "
