Catching up

Whew, it has been non stop going.  Just to catch up, before Tubac and the art show we did a sunset hike with a ranger at Saguaro West National Park.  We drive back onto the park a ways on a dusty dirt road.  The did a hike up to a ridge line for a great western view.  The ranger plus an volunteer gave talks along the trail.  They discussed the geology of this area ands the plants and wildlife that call this area home.  it was VERY informative.  We always enjoy the programs at the National Parks we have visited.  I'll post a few pictures in a couple of days.  Below are some iPhone shots form the sunset and walk back in the dark, but under a full moon.
Friday was the trip to Tupac.
Saturday we did a little longer bike ride, heading east on "The Loop Trail". This route took us my the Air Force Base and we stopped to watch some air show qualification that was going on this week.  Vintage planes form WWII to present day jets were all qualifying for the upcoming airship season.  It was pretty cool to watch them practice.  iPhone Pics form the bike trail are also included.
Sunday we went to a different Episcopal Church than we had been going to and it was great.
We are having a winter storm today.  65 degrees and thundershowers.  Snowing on the mountains around Tucson. Tomorrows forecast is for a high of only 65.

The start of a single track trail (mountain bike) along side the Loop Trail

Not how it is supposed to be used, but works for us and our bikes.
