Rats

 Something a bit different today.  I was watching dragonflies on the shoreline of the lake at Canoa Ranch when some movement in the grass caught my eye.  Out here, for me,  movement in the grass is a rattlesnake until proven to be something else.  I was relived to see what I thought was a mouse, but AI identifies it as a Hispid Cotton Rat.  It was maybe 4 or 5 inches long.
