Black-headed Grosbeak

 Today we have what we have identified as a Back-headed Grosbeak.  This image was made in Madera Canyon Az.  Merlin shows southern AZ as an area they would be in during breading  or migration seasons.  This is either a female or an immature bird.  The females look very much like a female Rose-breasted Grosbeak that you would fins in the Midwest.
