Trumpeter Swan
My next image from my 2024 Significant Collection is an image of a Trumpeter Swan that was made in Jackson Hole Wyoming this past September. The swan was at a Swan Refuge in Jackson Hole. The refuge has a mix of injured resident swans and wild ones that are free come and go.
While it was nearly mid day the lighting around the pons wasn't bad because of the amount of tall trees on the shore providing some screening of the harsher light.
Olympus OM1, 1/1600 sec, f/8.0, iso 125, focal length 316mm. -1.3 exposure to protect detail in the white feathers. Hand held.
