Yesterday I mentioned I had a short clip of the cormorant and would post it shortly.  Well here it is.  But actually this is a bit of a test for High  Dynamic Range video and I may need to explain a few things about it.

We are technology wise evolving into a HDR world.  Our cameras, computers and our TV's have been slowly changing to HDR capabilities.  What this is  actually ( in very basic terms)  our newer tech is able to show a much brighter image.  MUCH brighter.  This allows for a wider range of brightness subtle changes in colors.  If you have a very current iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro laptop and certain new TV's you have this tech.  But there is very little content to see and how streaming service like YOuTube handle it is also evolving.  SO I have shot footage in this new format and uploaded it to YouTUbe.

This clip is HDR, so if you have and watch on a new iPad or Mac laptop and go into YouTube through the app (or Chrome if using a browser on a computer)...this should play in HDR.  If you don't have the gear it should just play a regular version of the video.

Gloria says nobody will notice any difference.   She may well be correct.

So if you have 30 secs...check it out.
