Happy Easter
Happy Easter everyone.
In celebration of Easter I am skipping Galapagos images today and instead visiting some image I made in October of 2011. We were in Staunton Va visiting my brother Tim and we toured Trinity Episcopal Church in Staunton. This is a very historic church and was founded in 1745. The current building is the third to be built on this site. One of the biggest historical and cultural treasures of this parish are the stained glass windows of the church. They have been installed at various times in history and comprise 5 distinct styles of stained glass with the oldest dating back to 1850. 12 of the windows were by Louis Comfort Tiffany and the date from 1898 to 1936. One set of windows that I am certain were by Tiffany are the three behind the altar depicting the Ascension.
