More of Peru
Ok back to Peru. Ia m up to day 6 of our journey. Today we are leaving Urubamba and going to Machu Picchu....with a couple of stops along the way.
Our first stop is to witness a traditional healing ceremony preformed by a Shaman or Curandero, an Andean medicine man. It is a healing and also a prayer for good health and well-being including offerings to Pachamama, a deity associated with fertility and Mother Earth.
It was very interesting and moving ceremony. A few images below. I have video as well but only doing stills right now as that seems to be the more popular choice, judging by reactions I am seeing.
