Heron

 Today's pic is from a nature reserve in the Netherlands.  the bid though it looks like a Great Blue Heron is in fact a Gray Heron.  Great Blue Heron are a North American bird while a Gray Heron would be found in Europe, Asia and Africa.

The Gray Heron is smaller than the Great Blue, an adult Gray is up to 39" tall while a Great blue can be 79" tall.
