Rycke
Today we have a portrait of cowboy Rycke Scheier. Rycke is the real deal, a cowboy and a team roping champion. While I was the photographer for this shot I had a ton of help to get it. The staff for the Magic of Cowboys workshop had the lighting all set up and helped me with my camera settings to get this and many more shots.
When it comes to taking images of people my self critique would have been that I plain suck at this genre. I feel whole lot better about taking portraits after doing the workshop.
I have always been a fan of low key photography and had several opportunities to work on low key images during the workshop.
Olympus OM1, 1/200 sec, f/9.0, iso 200, focal length of 40mm (80mm 35mm equivalent ). I had a Godox trigger on the camera hot shoe to fire the lighting.
