Lesser Canada Goose

 Here we have a few images from my time in Wyoming on the Wind River Photographer's Retreat.  All of these images were made at the Trumpeter Swan Refuge in Jackson Wyoming.  The refuge had a few geese while we were there.  While I was photographing I noticed this one goose who was different than a typical Canada Goose.  Once I had the images on my computer at home Gloria identified the goose as a Lesser Canada Goose. The Lesser averages smaller in size and in the west darker.  The markings are different often including a white forehead.  

Olympus OM1 1/1250sec f/8.0 ISO 250.  150-400 zoom with the 1.25 extender engaged.  So 500mm. Hand held.
