Still showing images from the Desert Museum photoshoot.  After the Gila Monster the biologist went to the other 5 gallon bucket and brought out out a "Tiger Rattlesnake" and put it on the table for us.  Tiger Rattlesnakes are found in the southwestern US and northwestern Mexico. They tend to weight just about a pound and are 18-36 inches long.  They are good swimmers and have been found in bushes 2 feet above the ground.  In southeastern AZ they are active mainly March to October.  For a rattle snake this species had a relatively small head and because of the smaller head, it can easily pull prey from from small crevices.
