Back to our RVing roots
For 6 years or so we were snowbirds, traveled to a warmer climes and stayed most if not all of the winter. In the fall of 2019 when our house sold we became full-timers, living in our RV. Once we moved into our new home in Quail Creek, we sold the larger fifth-wheel and went back to a smaller fifth-wheel that would fit our new life style and allow for more camping sites in state and national parks. So we are back doing what we did when we first got into RV-ing in 2005. Back to our roots, shorter stays, more mobile, and more rustic environments.
So to that end we did a trip to Patagonia State Park for our first trip and now we just returned from a 3 night stay in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument near Ajo AZ.
It was a great destination, they have a great campground there. No hookups though, just great sites. We loved the park. Great hikes and some birds. The weather was pretty good, low 80's with some overcast skies. This gave us a chance to see how our solar system would handle less than ideal skies and no electricity for 3 days. It did OK, I did start the generator the morning we left, mostly to exercise it.
We were pretty close to the border, in fact we could see "The WALL" off in the distance from our campsite.
So for todays pictures, no birds or wildlife, just mostly our truck in the Sonoran Desert. We will be back to this park again, it's just about a 3 hour tow from home.
