Lion
In December of 2013 I had just read and heard a lot about a new camera from Olympus. They had partnered with some other camera companies to develop a new small format called Micro Four Thirds.
We were in Akron visiting family and there was a camera shop with one of the new cameras in stock. I went in to try it out and walked out with it and the only lens that they had to fit it. We went straight to the Akron Zoo and this lioness is one of the first images I made that day.
Today I revisited that image, cropped it square and took it into Photoshop and added a textured background and blended the image into the new background.
I sold my heavy and expensive Cannon gear and I am now shooting with the third generation of that same camera. The lenses are far less expensive (relatively speaking) and the system is much lighter to hold and carry.
The result is below.
