Polar Vortex Go Home
Wow, it was a very pleasant mid 70's on Saturday. The it got down to, as the thermometer shows, 30 degrees on Sunday/Monday with winds gusting to 50mph. Yikes!
One motorhome in this park was damaged by the wind. Looks like the wind unfolded the awning and shredded it. Twisted the frame up as well.
Temps are slowly rising each day and Christmas Eve is supposed to be in the 70's again.
We came back here for the great birding and fishing. Haven't fished yet and the birding was very slow....until yesterday and today. Had some great birds both days. American Bittern, Northern Harrier, and Great Kisskadee. Lots of various Herons plus lots of warblers.
I haven't been processing any images yet. Any downtime, like the two cold days I spent editing a woodturning video.
Tom got his stiches out on Tuesday. Boy that was a real learning experience. I had to get an appointment with an Orthopedic to get them taken care of. New X-rays and two days of office visits.
But all is well, just 4 more weeks with the splint.
Some pictures are below. In one of them is the Christmas Tree Gloria made. I think it's pretty cool. We stopped in World Market and she picked up the items she needed there to make the tree.
We picked up our fishing licenses today and plan to fish tomorrow.
