Truck
Ok let me start may explaining where I have been. I have created 2 blogs, this one and one for the Hiawatha Woodturners. A group I belonged to until we moved from Michigan. The wood turners blog is still in my blog control panel and once a month or so when ever they have a meeting that blog page gets posted to by a guy who took over from me to post the clubs stuff. If I don't look closely that page is active and I have to switch back to this page.
So long story short...I missed seeing a post from the woodturners and all of my post have been going to that blog instead of this one. I guess they are enjoying the epics though.
So for today.
Last Friday Gloria and I did a day trip up to Superior AZ to visit the Boyce Thompson Arboretum. AS part of their experience they have some Australian plants and to complement those they have created a sheep herders shed complete with an old Dodge Power Wagon. So today I am post a few pics of the truck.
Som of the images are monotone. I had my camera set to do a color copy on one memory card and a monochrome jpeg on the other card. For the jpeg version you can select a profile of how you wan the image to look. I chose monochrome with a profile developed by Greg Williams. Greg Williams, if you don't know of him, is an English photographer and film director. Is style of stills is a black and white that evokes vintage film scans using natural light. The look is described as a bit gritty, punchy contrast and subtle warmth. So the monochrome images have his style already applied when it comes out of the camera. Then I do some minor edits to the file. Personally I am undecided about the look for my images. But will try a few different types of images to see how it goes. He is mostly portrait work. I do very little portrait stuff.
Have a look and see what you think.
