Onemore Owl Pic

 One more picture of the owlet.  I was fortunate that the owlet seems to be locking its eyes on me. So I am getting a bit of expression from the sleepy little owlet.  I am a fan of a 1:1 aspect ratio images and that was my choice for the crop on his image.  

Great Horned Owls around Green Valley seem to often build their nest in areas with a lot of human activity.  I wonder of that's  a strategy where they are ok with the people being around in exchange for having predators shy away?  Just the same  I kept my time around the nest brief and used a long lens. Right after this shot the little owlet settled down for a nap.  So I don't think I was stressing the bird.  Plus the male was watching my every move.
