Navajo Bridge
These two images are of the Navajo Bridge Interpretive Center and the Navajo bridges. The bridge on the left was the original bridge and it spans the Colorado River at Marble Canyon. It was opened to traffic January 12, 1929. It is 18 ft wide and overtime as vehicles became larger the need for a larger more substantial structure became apparent. The new bridge on the right opened to traffic in May 1995. At that time the original bridge was closed to traffic and is now pedestrians only. Native American sell crafts on the east Side and the west side has the interpretive center shown in the image below.
Besides the historic attraction and natural beauty of the area, condors are attracted to this area and it has become a spot to view them.
