And the winner is

 Our photo club also has a photo contest each month.  For December our theme was an open category.  So we are not constrained by a theme.  For the monthly contest no additions or removals are allowed, just basic editing.  The monthly contest submissions are judged by a panel of photographers from out side the club membership.  

My submission of this pair of Harris' s Hawks was chosen as the winning photograph.  The image was made at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum.  They are a sibling pair that were part of the workshop I attended back in October.
