Racing Update
A recap of this weekends racing for my grandson Tommy, as told by his dad, my son Tom.
Well Tommy's first ever race weekend is in the books and he did really well.
The first day was practice and qualifying for the top 4 spots, and he was 6th.
The rest of of the spots were sorted on the morning of the second day and he qualified 5th.
The first race got off to a horrible start, as right after the flag dropped the two cars in front of him came together and he had to avoid the front wing that flew off one of the cars, and he ended up in next to last place after the first few corners. But he fought his way back to thru the pack for a 6th place finish.
The second race was another bad start after the car in front of him got sideways in turn 1, and he dropped to 8th, but he fought his way up to a 5th place finish including a final lap, final turn pass of a veteran driver. He ended up getting the guy by the width of his front wing in a very dramatic finish.

Overall a great weekend. He raced smart, clean and hard, and got faster with each session and race.
