We are home
Were backkkkk ! WTH did we come home to.
We raced around the weather and made it from an hour west of St Louis to home by 10:30 pm, including draining the water out on US 131 while we drove. I opened the drain valve for the freshwater tank and opened the low point drains while fueling up at a truck stop just inside MI. We stopped for fuel again in Cadillac and this time I pulled the anode rod out of the water heater and it was dry ??? Rather suction of driving 65 mph for
A few hours pulled all of the water out. Holly WOW. That was a great science experiment. The only thing left to do was to add antifreeze, nobody had any. Everyone had switch to spring merchandise. Luckily I had a gallon at home and pumped it in to get what little water was left in some fixtures.
Couldn’t get anywhere near the house because of 3 foot snow banks. We shuttled all of the liquids out by carrying them in baskets.
We never had to deal with the cold and snow like this years return trip.
Called the Snow plower over and he spent some time getting the storage building plowed out. So the Equinox is out but we can’t get the RV in until I deal with 2 inches of ice and snow at the entrance. The buildup has the RV to tall to get under the door. So it sits outside for now.
