Bosque del Apache update
We have been going non stop. Just a quick update with a few pictures.
Every evening at sundown the birds leave the fields where they have been feeding and go to shadow water to roost. The shadow water gives them some security at night. If a predator tries to move on them they will hear the water splashing and can escape. One location they are choosing right now is just down the road from our campground. So we are there at sundown to see the "Fly-In". The only place we are allowed to stand is on the east bank. So a silhouette shot is a natural. So I did a few of those the first night. results are below.
We are having a fantastic time, especially on the weather and the bird activity. Thousands of images each day. The forecast is for colder temps moving into the area mid week. So between the weather and working on the Kettle (Audubon Newsletter) we may be indoors more and I can do some editing.
