Quick Up date post
Yesterday we were birding and hiking again. Today we switched gears and started hiking in the area closer to Sedona. We have been avoiding that area a bit because of the crowds. Mid March is one of the busiest times in Sedona. We are hoping the crowds have let up a bit now, so far so good.
We think this area is one of the most scenic areas we have ever been too. This is our third time to visit this area.
I left the big lens home and went with 2 smaller ones for landscapes. We hiked the Yavapai Vista and then the Hiline trail from out of the Yavapai Trail head. This is one of the most scenic hikes in this area.
Great views. Spring is in full bloom here. Wildflowers where out.
The trail is pretty uneven and a couple of climbs and switchbacks. But what really surprised us was the 12 -15 Mountain Bikers that were riding this trail. One slip and they could be skidding 200 ft or more down the side formation.
Couple of selfies from this morning and one shot that I processed.
