95 Deg F
Today after church we needed to get a bike ride in to meet our mileage goal for the week. We set out on a 20 mile loop. On the way out we had a decent head wind most of the way. On the way back we had a tail wind except of one of the hills where we had a strange east wind for a mile or so. Not sure where that came from. The wind was out of the southwest the rest of the time.
With 2 more hills to climb Gloria lost the ability to shift here front chainring to the smaller ring. So that meant she wouldn't have the lower gears for the 2 remaining hills.
Once we got home we discovered that it was 95 degrees. That's pretty warm for the middle of May in Northern Michigan.
After cleaning up and lubricating Gloria's bike I discovered her front derailleur had a split cage. So it's looks like a part needs to be ordered and we may be riding trail bikes for a few days.
