We are getting closer !
Tonight we are in a campground just west of Williston ND. We are 10 or so miles from the Montana border. This town is crazy with the oil boom here. We drove trough town at about 4:30 pm and it was a zoo with oil construction vehicles every where. Traffic was incredible.
A little campground info for you non campers.
Campers, not unlike boaters, enjoy sitting around and watching other campers. If you do that for just a short time you are bound to see something amusing or at the least very interesting.
This morning a camper was back flushing his black tank. ( A black tank is the tank holding the toilet water). A garden hose attaches to a fitting on the side of the camper and a line runs into the tank to help clean the walls of the tank. This particular camper had a quick disconnect fitting on the end of his hose. When he was finished with the back flushing operation he disconnected the hose by way of the quick disconnect fitting......but had neglected to turn off the water at the source. The high pressure water stream coming loose all at once caused the hose to come free form the campers grip and proceeded to whip about out of control. Water was spraying everywhere as the hose snaked about on the ground. By the time the water was finally turned off the side of the trailer was soaked, as was every thing in a 15 foot radius, including the camper who had let go of the hose.
Because it was sunny and very breezy again today I did not need to change my clothes.
