Egg Laying Machine

Whats up 2 post in one day.........!
I have had trouble uploading video files at home because of the slow connection for up loads with a satellite system. This video would take over 3 hours to upload. I made 3 attempts and it hung up each time. The last one after it had reached 90% completion.
Any how. This snapping turtle showed up right outside our breakfast nook window on the front(lake)side of our house. When Gloria first saw it she was in a good size hole. We noticed several other digs she had made in the yard. This video is more of a trailer for an upcoming dvd. The finished dvd will be about 20 mins. In it you will see the turtle had dug either test or decoy holes first. Then she walked away and circled back to dig another (deeper) hole very near the others. It was in our graveled path from the deck to the beach. The video shows a little of the digging and then the egg laying followed by covering the eggs over. We now have the area roped off and I raked the gravel over a little better to make the area less obvious. Now we wait for 55 plus days for little snappers to emerge. According to the MDNR website they can lay up to 90 eggs. We saw 17 eggs laid. Not sure how many we missed before we started watching. She was out there for hours and we just kept checking back, so we missed the beginning of the egg laying we think.
