Well Gentle Ben was back for a visit last night. He came around 2:30 am. I guess it is still not safe to leave the feeders up at night. In fact we may have had a bit of a setback as I forgot to bring in the hummingbird feeders from the back yard. Ben had some hummer food last night.

The brown guard on the pole is 54 inches off the ground. So Ben must stand about 5'2 - 5' 4".

You may be wondering about the snake. Well Gloria found this guy in the back yard a days ago. I am not sure but he may be a water snake. Any how our deck supports have settled some and I need to crawl under the deck and jack it up. I just know that water snake or one of his friends is going to be under there to greet me. I have been putting this off because of the wet weather we have been having. Right now I am waiting for some very COOL weather.

If you know what kind of snake this is let me know. And for the inquiring minds........no I did not kill it. Although it was very aggressive when Gloria tried to move it with a stick.
