Fall color
A little bit of fall color with the Tetons in the background.
Working with a group of photographers and 2 experienced nature photographers as our leaders, we get to explore different techniques. Shooting this scene with a 200mm focal length is not a typical focal length choice. It results in what is referred to as a "Compressed Landscape". The results is the scene is compressed by the psychics of a long focal length lens making the mountains seem a lot closer to the rest of the image. This is a technique used often by one of our leaders, Sandy Zelasko. I used this lens several times on this trip and I am kind of liking the look.
Leica SL3, 70-200 zoom @ 200mm. 1/80sec, f11 iso100.
