Rainy Day hike

Last Friday Gloria and I visited Picacho Peak State Park.   We were hoping to see a lot of wild flowers but the weather was on a doff showers and  too cool for the blooms to open up.   But it was still a great day to be out.  The light was ....well very different for this part of the country.  Everything was wet and the clouds were pretty heavy and sometimes dark. We had a few sprinkles while we hiked, but most of the rain was while we were driving and it really came down after we got home.

The poppy blooms were about over, but the Lupine were going pretty strong.  The Brittlebush were doing quite well.  It has been a fairly wet winter for us this year.  A few pics from the day.
