Lately our Photography group in Quail Creek have been discussing black and white prints. I had a little time this afternoon ( it's 105 outside ) so I did a B&W version of a javelina I had taken a month or so ago.

Gloria and I were walking a trail in the Sweetwater Preserve in Tucson in search of birds. We were tipped off by another couple we passed on the trail about the location of a group of javelina just off the trail. They were in some thick bruah and we we weren't alerted to the location we most likely would have walked right by them.

It was really dark in the brush and because we were looking for birds and I had my long lens on... a head shot was all I could get.

I have included the color version as well.
