Posting
I haven't posted for a few days...we have been moving. We have changed campgrounds twice since my last post.
The saga follows.
We have been staying in Florida State Parks since moving to the Gulf Coast. In Florida State Parks one can reserve a campsite for up to a 14 day stay. After 14 days you need to be gone for 4 days before you can stay in that campground again. You can reserve a site up to 11 months ahead. The campgrounds are very popular so one needs to make their reservations right at the 11 month ahead date or it's you snooze you loose. I booked a 2 week block in Grayton Beach state park and then 14 days later I booked 14 days in Topsail Hill Preserve State Park. So far so good. But I was just a bit late with my next reservation and could not get a site back at Grayton Beach. I did score a site for another 2 week block the next day...but that left is without a site for one night.
I tried to schmooze an extra day at either park but no go. So we had to find a private campground nearby for the one night. That proved to be a chore at this late date. I did mange to get a site a Campgulf for the night. A premium price for a site one row off the beach. But man where the sites close to each other. You could literally had something out your window to a neighbor who was inside their camper. Not our cup-o-tea. But for one night we can do this.
