Merritt Island
On one of our outings to Titusville, after the Space X Rocket launch was scrubbed we crossed the bridge from Titusville to the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. There we found the Blackpoint Wildlife Drive. You can drive a loop in the refuge and stop and get out of your vehicle as often as you like. We spent 5 hours on this drive. The next several postings will be images from experience.
These first images are of Anhingas. They are like a cormorant in that they dive under the water to catch fish and then perch with their wings out-stretched to dry them off. If you look closely at the first two images there is a fish lunch in the bill.
