On the move again !
We have now set up camp in the KOA in Moab Utah We were here at the end of our 2013 southwest trip and missed renting an off road machine to explore the area. Moab is a 4x4 Mecca. We have a side by side buggy reserved for tomorrow. Should be fun.
In Monument Valley we did a tour of the valley with a Navajo guide. It was great. Saw the monuments and got into some of the closed areas of the park. Learned a ton about the Navajo culture.
The picture below was taken from in front of our truck at sunset tonight. Not a spectacular sunset, but the La Sal Mountains look pretty cool anyhow. We are at just over 4,000 feet elevation, the highest peak in the La Sal Mountains is 12,721 feet.
3 nights here and then ???
