A woodturning project
I have been doing just a little bit of turning. A neighbor brought came home from Arizona with a chunk Mesquite. From that piece of wood I did a southwest style open vessel. It's about 6 " wide and 3 3/4 " tall. The cracks and voids were filled with crushed turquoise and inlace resin. The finish is Danish Oil.
Pictures are below. After the vessel I started another one form the other half of the wood but a "Design Opportunity" presented it's ugly head and it became a bowl. Pictures of it are also below.
