No more multitasking
Sometimes trying to do two new things at one time is too much for me.
When we were in the 1000 islands this summer with my son's and their families Matt and Olivia did a seafood boil the night it was their turn to cook. It was fantastic. So much so Gloria and I bought a kit to do our own. Yesterday I put it together and then tried to do some patatoes to see how long different kinds took to cook. As they were the big variable on the recipes we saw.
I also added a rotary spit to the grill. We put a good size chicken on it for a test run.
So follow along. I have the big pot going timing different patotes and a nice chicken spinning over a flame on the grill. Oh ....it's also raining lightly to boot.
Thinking I have the world by the a-- I step inside for my wine. Gloria reports that "you (not we) have a lot of smoke on the deck".
Out I go to investigate. The 3 piece sewer had unthreaded it's self and the chicken had fallen onto the burner.
A little "blackened" on one side, but salvageable.
Oh.....the potatoes.... They were great.
I am ready for the big time with the seafood boil. Just as long as I have no other distractions.
