On The Road Again !

We are back on the road again for another season.  We left home yesterday ( Wednesday the 25th ).  We are headed to Akron for Emily's First Holy Communion.  The plan is to drop the camper and Gloria off in Akron on Thursday and I'll go on to Pa on Friday morning.  I am going to Pa for Tommy's birthday and to see a play that he is in.

We left a day earlier than planned because we wanted to check out Hartwick Pine State Park on the way.  The picture is our rig in Hartwick Pines SP.  It's a really nice park.  We rode our bikes around the park and then hoped on the "Bicycle Turnpike"  It's a paved bike trail that runs form the park entrance to downtown Grayling.

After that we did a hike to 2 lakes in the park.

We arrived in Akron this evening in the wind and rain.  The truck averaged 12.6 mpg for the two travel days combined.  I feel that 12.6 is pretty good mileage.  I suspect it's the great tail winds we experienced on the way down.
