More Waterton Pictures
Here is the last batch of photos from Waterton NP.
Today we went to church in town. It was an Anglican church, which is our denomination (Episcopal) in Canada and England. It was the contemporary service. Music and kids. The traditional service was earlier. It was different but cool.
After church we went to the Highland Games. It was more than bagpipes and music. There was also highland sporting events. I can't recall the names of the events but they involved feats of strength. Pretty amazing. Wait to you see the pictures and video from this. The food and beer was also pretty good, as was the free samples of scotch, according to our taster.......Gloria.
I have never seen so many bagpipes and men in kilts all in one place. It was a fun afternoon. The competitors came from all over Canada, the USA and the UK.
Tomorrow is our last day here. Not sure what is on the agenda, maybe a bike ride. Speaking of bikes. The guy in the campsite next to us is a cycler and he moved to Canada 9 years ago from Holland. He did some racing in his younger days.
As I am writing this post Gloria is off getting our laundry done. That is the one thing we don't have in our RV. I can hear the music from the Highland Games. It is scheduled to go on until 11 pm.
