A Little Bit More Than The Law Allows

These are pictures from the tug boat parade. The tug boat parade is held the evening before the tug boat race. The boats are decorated and cruise up and down the St Mary's river on both the Canadian and USA sides. The race and all of the festivities are to raise money for children's charities.

It is not a typical parade as there is no order. The baits just cruise at will for a time and then they head for the locks. Half went through the Canadian locks and half go through the American locks. The boats pass in Lake Superior and then go back down in the opposite locks.
The title for this post comes from the song played on the one of the boats sound system. After seeing the pictures you might thing I came up with the title from other sources.

This may take a minute or two to load before it starts.

As you can tell from the pictures it is a party atmosphere on the tugs and plenty of spectators on shore.
