Firecracker Bush
During my Saturday morning camera walk I found this little bush growing in Madera Canyon this morning. My phone identifies it as a Bouvardia ternifolia, common name " Firecracker Bush. They are a bit common oil southern Arizona and a few other southwestern states. Widespread in Mexico extending south to Honduras. This is one of those "use what you got shots. You would not normally shoot wildflowers with a 500 mm lens. I had my Leica SL3 fitted with a 24-70 mm zoom with me, but it was in my backpack and I din't want to go through the trouble of getting it out for one flower shot. Leica SL3-P with a 500 mm Sigma f5.6 prime lens. 1/800 sec, f5.6, ISO 4000 -0.3 exposure, handheld.
